Rombach & Haas Black Forest Romba Antique Replica Clock Broken Case For Restoration Or Parts. Antique replica clock 8 day movement 30cm by Rombach & Haas. Product number 032-73-03 from the Romba Collection. Carved wood case, hand painted, in the German Black Forest cuckoo clock tradition by fourth-generation clock makers Ingolf and Conny Haas. This clock has the Association Black Forest Clock (VdS) seal attesting to it's authenticity.
Alas, the case is broken apart and the weights are missing but it can be restored with the right expertise or used for parts. The movement appears intact and the case can be reglued into place relatively easily. You would need to replace the weights; the weight chains are all intact.
Not sure if the pendulum belongs with this clock or not. From online sources: Rombach & Haas was founded in 1894 in a farmhouse that would soon become the center of their cuckoo clock business. The farmhouse was in the village of Schonach in the Black Forest.By the turn of the 20th century, cuckoo clocks, sign clocks, and other Black Forest clocks were produced in the factory. "The style of living has changed, and a usual cuckoo clock, decorated with wooden carvings, does not fit into every living space, " Ingolf said when the Romba Art Collection was released. Therefore, we have created a new generation of this timepiece after 160 years of consistency. Launched in 2008, the Romba clocks follow the clock making traditions of bygone eras while incorporating the latest contemporary design trends. Measures 12" tall without the moving wood balls (approximately 15" to the top of the wood balls) x 8" wide x 5 1/2" deep.
