The clock is in excellent working order, chiming and cuckooing the usual once at half past the hour and the corresponding number of hours on the hour. The clock movement has been recently cleaned so is running perfectly and reliably and is stamped with the familiar G. S logo on the back.
The bellows have had the fabric replaced recently judging by how clean the fabric looks. The case is in reasonable condition considering its age. It does have a visible repair to the vine leaf to the left of the dial (see photo 2).The top crown is beautifully carved but is not original to the clock as it has a different oak leaf design but doesnt look that out of place on the clock. The clock has a paper label. Inside the left-hand door with E. Duffner, Watchmaker and Jeweller, Fallowfield.
With a date of 7. April 1910 (see photo 11). The clock comes with two weights (780g each) and a pendulum. With the top crown attached the clock measures 46cm high, 36cm wide and 24cm deep.
